FOR ADULTS:

March 16th: Irene Gruenfeld, Parent- Teacher Conferences, what to expect and how to handle them wisely

  • Teacher and foster mother of a South Sudanese child

  • Dr. Joellen Altschaefl will attend and talk with the women about any health or other issues. (Group for women only)


April 6th: Ann Helmus, What’s an Individual Educational Plan or IEP?

  • Ph.D Psychologist, mentor of South Sudanese family

  • Dr. Joellen Altschaefl will attend and talk with the women about any health or other issues  (Group for women only)


April 27th: Nancy Goldberg, Strengthening Presentation Skills!

  • “211”  - Resources in the community

  • “Strengthening Presentation Skills” with Nancy Goldberg! Get help with making presentations to groups of people at school, work, or a community meeting.


May 11th: How to tell your life story with your children?

  • Deng Nyuon is a Licensed Social Worker (LICSW) and a member of the South Sudanese Community of Boston!

  • Richard Mollica is the Director of the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma (HPRT) of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School and a faculty member in the Counseling Psychology and Global Mental Health program at William James College.
